Bass

I have been spending the past few months learning to play the electric Bass.

I am using Ed Friedland’s Hal Leonard Bass Method Composite Edition. Its a good book for learning the basics.  I have played Tuba and Trombone in the past, so know how to read music.  I am actually amazed at how much bass clef is still in my synapses.

I also have an instructor who I like a lot.  He encourages you to take risks and just let mistakes happen.  I find this approach lets me make good progress.  (Along with about an hour of practice each day).  I have started to learn the blues.  Its enjoyable.
